Meet Carlos Cruz, DDS

Dr. Carlos Cruz was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Dr. Cruz graduated with a Bachelor in Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) from Francisco Marroquin University in 1989. He moved to the United States in 1991 and four years later he obtained his specialty in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMS) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. After completing his specialty, Dr. Cruz started a one-year fellowship in Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery in Melbourne, Australia.
Professionally, Dr. Cruz is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, Texas Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Texas Dental Association, Southwest Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Rio Grande District Dental Society, and Texas Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Cruz and his wife, Valeska are proud parents of Gianncarlo, Marco, and Isabella. They enjoy spending time together as a family and traveling all around the world. Some of Dr. Cruz’s hobbies include going to the gym, bike riding, reading, and going to church.
